That ache in your shoulders? That endless loop of worry, doubt, fear? That critic in your head that never shuts up?

It’s not random. It’s not “just stress.”

👉 It’s your body. 👉 It’s your mind. 👉 Trying to get your attention.

But what do most people do? Ignore it. Numb it. Run from it.

And then they wonder why it only gets louder.

The Root of the Problem

What you resist, persists. What you ignore, festers. What you listen to, heals.

Stress isn’t a calendar problem. It’s not about too many meetings or not enough sleep.

It’s unhealed wounds. It’s unmanaged emotions. It’s a nervous system that doesn’t feel safe.

You can push harder. You can meditate more. You can try every app, book, and podcast.

But if you don’t go to the root, you’ll stay stuck in the loop.

The 20-Minute Formula That Works EVERY TIME

Here’s what I use with myself and my clients:

1️⃣ Stop running. No numbing, no ignoring, no fake positivity.

2️⃣ Block 20 minutes. A non-negotiable meeting with yourself.

3️⃣ Breathe. Slow. Deep. Drop into your body.

4️⃣ Listen. The goal is not to fix it. The goal is to hear.

5️⃣ Ask these questions and journal what comes up:

  • “Why are you here?”

  • “What do you need from me?”

  • “What do you want?”

  • “Who are you? What age are you?”

6️⃣ Meet that part of you. Say: “Thank you for showing up. I want to stay connected. Is that okay?”

7️⃣ Close with love. Ask: “Are we complete today?”

  • If yes → “I love you. I’ll keep listening.”

  • If no → keep asking until it feels complete.

Simple. But not easy.

Why It Works

Because your body isn’t the enemy. Your mind isn’t broken.

They’re messengers. And pain is their language.

If you silence the messenger → the message gets louder. If you listen to the messenger → the message heals.

That’s why stress “management” doesn’t work. You can’t manage a messenger. You can only listen.

The Ripple Effect

When you start listening, things change fast:

✨ Stress no longer hijacks your day. ✨ Your body feels lighter. ✨ Peace becomes your default. ✨ Confidence grows without you even trying. ✨ Life gets easier — without you doing “more.”

This isn’t about stress management. This is about stress resolution.

The magic is in doing this practice especially when you don’t want to:

  • EVEN when you’re busy.

  • EVEN when you’re tired.

  • EVEN when you’d rather escape into scrolling, food, or work.

That’s when your body needs you the most.
